Christopher Henry

Christopher Henry

B.MPB, MBA, CMgr, FIML, Cert. Finance (LBS)

Mr Henry is an experienced executive within the medical device industry. An experienced Director and General Manager of a leading Australian Orthopaedic Manufacturer having held similar roles within subsidiaries of global orthopaedic companies with a focus on product development and commercialisation pathways. Strong commercial acumen within the health / medical technology sector with demonstrated success in manufacturing, supply chain, strategic planning and revenue growth through development of key international markets.

Significant expertise in product development, quality and regulatory affairs and successfully managing numerous product approvals of Class I—III devices in Australia, EU, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, China and USA. Mr Henry holds a Bachelor of Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and an MBA from the University of South Australia. He also has post graduate qualifications in Six Sigma, Executive Finance and Organisational Leadership at London Business School and is a recipient of the Industry Leaders Fund (SA). Mr Henry also currently advises start-up companies in the medical device sector with a focus on product development and quality and regulatory strategies and strongly supports development of a domestic medical device manufacturing sector.

Gibran Maher

Gibran Maher

Mr Maher is a dedicated medical device professional with 15 years experience in the industry. Mr Maher holds global commercial appointment for an Australian medical device manufacturer commercialising novel and ground breaking world first technologies. Impressive record in integrated marketing, sales, strategic planning, financial reporting and negotiation. Mr Maher works collaboratively in dynamic teams to deliver on key projects.

I have initiated change and implemented business strategy with a view to driving productivity and business growth. Mr Maher holds a Bachelor of Business Management and holds an MBA from The Australian Institute of Business. Mr Maher has other notable appointments as an Advisory Board Member for the Medical Device Partnering Program and a Guest Lecturer at Flinders University in the topics of medical device commercialisation and medical device business strategy.

Brendan Hart

Operations Director

15 years in medical device manufacturing, including roles as Manufacturing Supervisor, Technical, Logistics, QA / QC and more recently was Operations Manager at a leading Australian orthopaedic manufacturer.

Brendan was primarily responsible for management of all operations activities including QA, QC, Supply Chain, Operations & Logistics. Brendan has been involved in the development and upgrade of various quality & inventory management systems and has a broad background and wealth of knowledge in medical devices and has joined Actis as Operations Director.

Brendan holds engineering qualifications and has completed ISO 13485 BSI training.

Nirmal Menon

R&D Director

Nirmal has over 10 years medical device experience, having held roles in India, UK & Australia in both product development, R&D and engineering.

More recently Nirmal has been the head of R&D at a leading manufacturer of Medical devices where he was directly responsible for the design & development from concept to market of various high risk implantable devices. Nirmal holds various patents in Augmented Reality and implant design and has undergraduate and postgraduate in Industrial Design.

Nirmal leads the R&D team with design & development, systems engineering and engineering regulatory files for various high risk devices.

Georgie Murgatroyd

Biomedical Engineer

Georgie has over 5 years medical device experience, with a leading Australian manufacturer of implantable medical devices in R&D and engineering.

Georgie has been involved in a number of design & development projects from inception to market.

Georgie is a Biomedical Engineer and Council Member of Society of Medical and Biological Engineering SA & NT and assists various clients with design & development & systems engineering.
